Scientific Programmable RPN Calculator
MC Squared is a fully featured scientific programmable RPN calculator on your Windows desktop. MC Squared incorporates many productivity enhancing features that are not normally found on calculators, whether hardware or software. For example, just hold the cursor over any button or feature on the calculator and a pop-up description appears.
MC Squared works. It was written as a serious computational tool for professional engineers and scientists, by professional engineers who know that such a product has to offer the right functionality and provide a seamless interface in order to be truly useful. Here's just some of what MC Squared can do:

      Looks like a "real" calculator
Works like a "real" calculator, with enhanced features
      Unlimited Stack depth
Separate Command Line for number entry
Pop-up keypad for user programs, variables and constants
Full stack manipulation (button or menu driven)
Unique Engineering Units feature for entry and display
      Trigonometric functions
      Hyperbolic functions
Decimal, Hexadecimal, Binary and Octal modes
Selectable digital word length (1 to 48 bits)
      Logarithmic functions
Degrees, Radians and Gradians angular modes
Rectangular / polar conversion, addition and subtraction
      Named user variables
      Full user programmability
Simple programming interface and programming language
      Intuitive keyboard shortcuts
Customisable display, case, and screen saver
      Multiple work files supported
      Multiple program instances supported
      Everything saved on exit
Why did we write MC Squared?
Easy. With a PC, keyboard, mouse, A4 pad and coffee mug on your desk there just isn't room for a traditional calculator any more. We were looking for a software calculator. It had to use RPN, it had to be programmable, it had to allow us to enter and view numbers the way we write them, it had to exchange data with other Windows applications, it had to allow us to save multiple work files, work in four number bases and freely convert between them, give us full and simple stack manipulation. Above all it had to be easy to use and quick to learn. And we'd seen enough dull grey buttons on dull grey backgrounds.

There was quite simply nothing on the market, hardware or software, that gave us the power to do what we wanted, the way we wanted to do it. So we made our own.
MC Squared Features
MC Squared incorporates a unique Engineering Units mode that allows you to enter and view numbers as you would write then. If the result of your calculation is 4.7E-8, most engineers and scientists would far prefer to see the result as 47n. Whether in normal or engineering display mode, MC Squared will accept numbers in this format too. You can even input numbers like 4u7, 2n2, 1k25, and m (0.001).

To make it even clearer what you're looking at, the display can be set up to display positive numbers, negative numbers and binary numbers in the colour of your choice on a background of your choice.
Your programs, variables and constants are displayed on the User Functions Keypad, which can be opened and closed to save space on your desktop. Items on the Userpad can be freely loaded and unloaded as required, and even shared with other instances of the program.

Programs can be as simple or as complex as you want to make them. At their simplest they can be just button-press macros, enabling you to automate a time consuming process. Add to that the use of variables, branching and conditional testing and MC Squared becomes a very powerful computational tool.

Everything is automatically saved when you exit the program, the stack, command line, colours, screen saver settings, everything. You can save your work to different files too, and even have two or more instances of MC Squared running at the same time with totally different setups.

Items of data on the stack, and even the entire stack can be placed on the Windows clipboard and pasted into any other Windows application. Data can be pasted into the stack too, allowing you to use MC Squared to enhance the capabilities of your other programs.

You can even customise MC Squared, changing the display and case colours, and even add your own case design and screen saver.

MC Squared comes with a full Windows help file containing all the documentation and examples you need to make it the only calculator you'll ever need.
